Portraiture photography has been a part of my repertoire since I took senior portraits for 10% of my high school graduating class (including my own).
Whether you’re an actor used to the lens or an industry professional shy to the camera, I enjoy creating a comfortable environment for people to showcase their natural charisma. I can create for you:
actor headshots
business headshots
authors portraits
senior portraits
dating profile portraits
I only use natural lighting and outdoor spaces for portraiture. I’m happy to provide minimal retouching, though any additional work can be negotiated.
Contact me to discuss your portraiture needs. I’ll be happy to work with you.
Intimate weddings.
Anniversary parties.
Dancing. Dancing. Dancing.
School and family reunions.
Unique graduations.
Whatever your event, I am eager to capture you and your people immersed in the celebration. When you think back on a cherished event, it’s often hard to put your finger on the energy, the spirit, that made it so memorable. I focus on candids, context, and documentary photography in addition to any posed portraiture you ask for in order to preserve that spirit forever.
Contact me about an event you would like captured forever, and I’ll be happy to create a package that works for you.
My favorite way to use the camera is to stop candid life in its tracks. I have decades of experience traveling the world with open eyes and learning about humanity through capturing the world it created.
There could be many reasons you need a documentarian, an eye poised to notice and frame the big and the little moments without interfering. I’d be happy to discuss with you your needs for a documentarian and offer you a package that meets those needs.
Writing is a passion and a skill of mine I’m happy to apply to your sales and storytelling needs. I take a holistic approach to everything in order to frame concepts clearly and fully. Let’s chat about your copywriting needs, which may be:
Website Copy
Blog Posts
Social Media Copy
Mailers
Brochures
Video Scripts
Brand Identity
Letters
Please reach out to discuss your project(s) and my rates.
One thing I love about photographing animals: they’re all personality, no vanity. They have priorities that are both primal and emotional. Plus, they’re beautiful. Photographing animals in their natural environment is tricky and rewarding. These are some of my favorites, and they are available for licensing. Reach out, and let’s discuss your needs.
The natural world reigns supreme. The different terrains at which we can marvel are vast and hypnotic. Give me any reason to photograph landscapes and showcase the world, and I’m there, even if I have to work for it with a long hike, a patient wait, a bumpy ride, or an arm work-out rowing down a river. That’s why I live in Colorado. Mountains are remarkable.
Whether you need originals or would like to license some of mine, reach out for your landscape photography needs.
During my time as Media Specialist for THINK Global School, I experimented with many different formats in order to tell the most powerful stories to which I had access.
In 2013, TGS visited the Kingdom of Bhutan for two weeks, and one year later I screened for the community a feature-length documentary of that trip. Cultural experiences (known at TGS as weXplores) play an integral role in our curriculum, and this was ever more apparent during this intersession, when textbooks were laid to rest in favor of continuous hands-on activities. I took this opportunity to look deeper at the concept of weXplore and experiential education, using Bhutan as a case study.
The joy of being in new places and immersing in new cultures is intoxicating for me. Geographic distance has never been so negotiable and yet still thrilling to conquer this day and age. Here are just a few videos that highlight the joy of travel and the value of connection.
Travel videos are some of my favorites to make. They are cinematic junk food and always get my blood pumping. I do research to find music that honors the artists of the region. Music helps me build a tone that inspires the edit from the start. Once I strike the right tone, the edit is a breeze.
I am available for hire to capture your project, whether near or far. I’m an equal opportunity artist enthralled with culture everywhere.
On the job, I have had the great opportunity to film some amazing speakers and broadcast their words and ideas to a wider audience. Some of these academics, humanitarians, and world leaders include:
Linguist and Political Activist Noam Chomsky
Prince Reza Pahlavi of Iran
Prime Minister Tshering Tobgay of Bhutan
Educational Specialist Tony Wagner
US Political Advisor Greg Simon
Historian and Writer Joseph Pearson
Humanitarian Urmi Basu
Executive Director of Stockholm Resilience & Scientist on Global Sustainability Johan Rockström
Physician & Statistician Hans Rosling
Nuclear Technologies Historian Dr. Robert (Bo) Jacobs
Author and NYT Journalist Nicholas Kulish
If you need a multi-camera set-up or something simpler, I can manage your documentary needs of a lecture or guest speaker. I’m currently based in Denver, Colorado but have a valid passport raring to go.
Travel is the best educator. It can make humble the arrogant and make confident the meek. It opens eyes and sets understanding like cement in the mind. It changes lives.
I believe this because I experienced it and I witnessed it myself.
It is a charmed life that has the ability to travel, but, as these videos also illustrate, travel is a state of mind rather than a geographic relocation. It is not best utilized as a conduit for jealousy but as a means to inform and inspire yourself and others.
Setting your mindset to one of discovery allows for learning to occur. Exploring your backyard or a distant land will inevitably bring new things to light.
Watch how the learning leaves the classroom and brings content to life in these videos. Let me help you make content that encapsulates new findings and inspires the viewer to keep learning.
I love amplifying the voices and work of dedicated educators. They plant the seeds for building strong societies. I am well-versed in the field of education and would love to help you highlight your school’s impact to your community.
Whether for recruitment, fundraising, or idea-sharing purposes, we will discuss audience, format, calls to action, and other important factors in creating video assets together.
These academic videos give viewers a peek into a classroom, a unit of study, a project and highlight the content through the eyes of students. These videos showcase some of the teachings at THINK Global School where I was both an educator and a documentarian.
As an educator, I know how remote and digital learning can expand the reach of an educator or a lesson. Entertaining and innovative approaches to learning are the by-product of intense creativity on behalf of educators and deserve to be preserved and shared. Many common classrooms tools are effective in creating visuals that engage and illustrate concepts, and these translate beautifully in video.
Let’s work together to memorialize a lesson and spread that learning near and far.
If you have a recurring event and a marketing need, I’d be happy to document your event for future promotional purposes. Here’s one event promotional video captured by air, land, and sea (or river).
The Wabash River Defenders are volunteers who preserve, protect, and defend the Wabash River. They promote trash removal, ecology, boating, camping, wildlife habitat and history of this great river, the longest free-flowing river east of the Mississippi. The Wabash is one of the most impressive of all natural resources in Indiana and deserves the surrounding communities' collective defense. On Saturday, July 28th, 2012, volunteers participated in "Clean Out the Banks!" where water and land teams removed trash from the Wabash River starting at the Huntington County line and finishing at the Miami County line. Visit WabashRiverDefenders.org for more information on year-round support opportunities and news on next year's event.
How about a shareable video highlighting the spirit of your company and you as an entrepreneur. Throughout COVID, people have been very eager to support small businesses. Let one of those businesses be yours by getting your word out to them.
Here’s one of my businesses:
What would you do if money didn’t matter? Alan Watts posed a similar question in one of his lectures that can spark a powerful thread of value judgments in each of us. If you're browsing YouTube and chancing across this video, you probably have enough money to meet your most basic survival needs. I'd argue you're able to consider this ideological inquiry and identify activities or experiences you can bring into your life more often than you might currently. Perhaps it can become an area of mastery and therefore a marketable commercial skill (circling right back to money). It's an intriguing line of inquiry that birthed the concept of Pangea's Oven, my micro-bakery in Denver, Colorado. Thankfully, it does make me some money though not nearly enough to compensate for the time and money spent... if I didn't love it. Take a look at my answer and let me know what your answer is to this question!
Project Medishare is dedicated to improving the health and quality of life of all Haitians. In 2011, members of The Global Syndicate did site visits in Port-au-Prince and Thomonde to see the important work happening in Haiti in the wake of the 2010 earthquake.

Family videos don’t have to sit dormant on your shelf or on your hard drive. They can be short, vibrant, and binge-worthy.
